Adjusting a Bramblecrest adjustable table is a straightforward process, designed with user convenience in mind. These tables are engineered to provide flexibility, allowing you to switch between different heights easily. Typically, Bramblecrest tables have a mechanism that allows for smooth adjustment between a low coffee table setting and a higher dining table position.
Bramblecrest adjustable tables traditionally require two people to adjust the table manually. However, as of 2024, they have introduced a new piston operated adjustable table this new mechanism only requires one person to adjust the table.
These tables are built with a mechanism that allows you to change the height between a low setting, often used for coffee tables, and a higher setting suitable for dining.
In this blog, we’ll discuss the two different types of adjustable tables and how you use them.
Adjusting a Piston Operated Table
Piston operated adjustable tables are very easy to use and only require one person. First, you need to locate the lever, this can be found on one side of the table near the table top. The black lever will only move one way and you will need to pull this towards the table top to operate it.
The advantage of a piston operated table is that it can be adjusted to multiple heights rather than just a coffee table or dining table height.
Lowering the Piston Table
To lower the table you need to use one hand to pull the lever upwards towards the table top. Use your spare hand and place it in the centre of table. At the same time pull the lever upwards and apply pressure to the middle of the table.
Doing so will lower the table, if you find it does not move you may need to apply a bit more pressure to the centre of the table. Once you have the table in the desired position just release the lever and the table is in place. If you’re unsure and would like to test the stability of the table, place your hand on the table and apply pressure - if it is stable the table will remain in place not wobble.
Raise the Piston Table
If you have the table set at a lower height you might want to adjust the height so you can dine at the table. All you need to do is find the lever and pull it upwards, doing so will raise the table up.
Once you have the table in position you simply need to release the lever and enjoy your dining table.
Adjusting a Manual Table
Manual tables are different to piston tables, they always require two people to adjust them. We want to emphasise how important it is to use two people to adjust these tables. If you attempt to adjust the table on your own you risk the other side of the table dropping and this could cause the ceramic table top to crack.
Before adjusting the table you will need to locate the openings at two sides of the table, these will be opposite one another. The openings can be found at the bottom of the table and are used to keep the table stable, this is done by placing your foot in the opening and applying a bit of pressure.
Once both of you have done so, you will need to use both hands to grab the table to either lift or lower the top. If you have the table at coffee table height you will need to lift the top upwards. When doing so the mechanism will either roll towards you or the other individual. Similarly, when you want to lower the table all you need to do is slowly lower the top and roll the mechanism the opposite way.
The mechanism will only go one way when you either lift or lower the table. You will know when the table is securely in place as you will hear a clicking sound. If you do not hear this sound it means that the table is not secure, do not release the table until you hear it.

Maintenance Tips
To keep your Bramblecrest adjustable dining table functioning smoothly, it’s important to maintain the mechanism. Regularly check for any dirt or debris that might accumulate around the moving parts, as this can affect performance if left to build up.
Cleaning the mechanism with a dry cloth and applying a lubricant, if necessary, can help in maintaining its smooth operation. Additionally, avoid placing excessive weight on the table while adjusting it, as this could strain the adjustment mechanism over time.
By following these steps, you can easily adjust your table to suit your needs. Whether you're lowering it for a relaxed coffee break or raising it for outdoor dining, the table's adjustable feature adds convenience and flexibility to your outdoor space.
