When speaking to our customers many are concerned with the mobility of a parasol base more than anything else. They want to be able to effortlessly move a parasol around their garden. If mobility is one of your concerns we would recommend going for a wheeled parasol base.

One thing to consider is the weight, it is crucial that the base is heavy enough to secure your parasol. If you have a cantilever parasol we would recommend going for a granite base - our selection starts at 90kg. If you have a large cantilever parasol you may want to go for a heavier weight such as 120kg.

If you are purchasing a base for an existing parasol, make sure you check that your parasol pole is compatible with the base. The pole and base need to have a secure fit for them to be safe to use. As most people purchase parasols and bases in a set, the base on its own may not have all the fittings you need. Check what fittings are included and keep any you have for your current parasol.

If a cover does not have these characteristics it will not protect your parasol.

Look out for covers that include a rod, this will run up the length of the cover to keep it upright whilst you try to put it over the parasol.
